I need a brain drain!

Well folks, since November 2004, everday I have been maintaining this
page and website each and every day. I admit, I am tired (as you can
see in the above photo).

I just need a break. But, although this particular page is going to take a
snooze until July 3rd, I will continue to maintain the rest of the sight. I
will change a few things, absolutely be posting my radio show playlists
on Saturday and Sunday. So I will be just taking it easy.

I would appreciate you going back in time and catch up on past months
featuring the Q of THE WEEK. Just go to the ARCHIVES page.

I will be catching up on your e-mails, continuing to wish people Happy
Birthday's and sending personal comments.

A few days before July 3rd I will be posting and personally sending to many
of you the next Q of THE WEEK.

I am in a class of "how to use" the Network on french show biz....since
last week....3 days/week 9:30am-5pm a full time schedul...but it will
end this friday.

I am in a groupe of 7 peoples. there are, a journalist, movie producer,
accountant, secreatry, theater cordinator, out door activities instructeur
and me.

We have learned how we present our own project to a friend of friend of
friend.. seeking to reach to someone who can connect to the person who
could maybe need a person like us (we have different interests and needs) .

Juliette Lewis

HOLLY SAYS: Hmmmm....debating...should I use my one pass on open
forum week to vent about a band that I put 3 years of a lot of hard work,
resources and money into. In that time got them a $250k record deal with
a major record label, they make a record with mega multi platinum producer,
they get dropped from major label, I stick by them...resuscitate the situation
by putting their record out myself and generating a story out of their home-
town.

Then bring in indie radio staff to help take it to the next level... band gets
pressured by independent radio staff who originally partnered with me for
my expertise but then out of nowhere decide that they know it all about
managment and want control over the whole situation so pulls some conniving
moves to make me look like I am the wrong one when in fact I am protecting
said band's best interests.

Then the band fires me after being told they will lose the $25k indie label deal
that the above mentioned indie radio staff has brought to the table. The ironic
thing about it is that deal then went away. So all of the drama was for nothing.

The band is still convinced that they are going to blow up and that the indie radio
staff is the best thing for them since they are getting airplay (3 weeks of plateau
spins, no new adds, and 60% overnight play)....no set up of product happening,
no connecting of dots, no touring, etc. Now I hear that the major who dropped
them may re sign them.

Thank goodness I still have paperwork with them in the event that the long shot
comes true eh????

Or, should I promote the fact that I am having a blast with my new project
Que and additionally about to begin a new music business venture in addition
to my executive producing and artist development???

Paula Abdul
The talented and controversial Paula was born in 1962 in the San Fernando

This seems like a perfect opportunity for me tell everyone
about Mixposure!!!

Over 20,000 Members strong, this OMD (online music distribution)
site was born just about a year-year and a half ago and continues

The on and off again adult film star was born in the San Fernando Valley,
California in 1967. The 5' 6" Retired from performing in adult movies in
mid 1990. Directed adult movies in early to mid 90s. Made a brief come-
back in 1997-1998 performing in two more movies. Her comeback movies
were The Private Diary of Tori Welles (1997) and The Return of Tori Welles
(1998). Has two sons (born in 1991 and 1993) from her marriage to Paul
Norman who she since has divorced. Gave birth to her third child, a boy,
in 2001. She is a member of the AVN (Adult Video News) and XRCO (X-Rated
Critics Organization) Hall Of Fame. Worked as a regional sales manager for a
softcore DVD company called 'Peach DVD'. She has also done films again since
2000.

Joan Van Ark
In her day, Joan was one of the hottest soap/drama actresses on TV. She
was born in New York City in 1943. She is perhaps best known for her role
as Valene Ewing beginning on "Dallas" and then on the spin-off series,
"Knots Landing." During the 13 seasons as Val, she earned six nominations
and two Soap Opera Digest Awards for Best Actress. Joan also starred in the
TV comedies, "Temperature Rising" and "We've Got Each Other." In May 1997,
she reprieved her role of Valene in the CBS mini-series, "Knots Landing Reunion:
Back to the Cul-de-sac." Most recently, she guest-starred in an episode of "The
Nanny," which was specially written for her. She was also one of the voices for
CBS-TV's Saturday morning cartoon series "Santo Bugito," and she provided the
voice of "Spider Woman," another Saturday morning series. In 1997, shedirected
a short documentary on homelessness and domestic violence for the Directors
Guild of America, which was nominated for an Emmy. Today she does voice-overs
and appearances on TV.

Siobhan Donaghy
Siobhan was born in London, England on the 14th of June 1983, She
was born of Irish decent and has been performing since she was 12
years old. She was discovered by ex-All Saints manager Ron Tom, who
went on to manage the Sugababes. At the age of 16 she joined now ex-
bandmates Keisha Buchanan and Mutya Buena to form the chart topping
Sugababes and has had a lot of success with hits such as "Overload" and
"Run For Cover", taken from the 2001 album "One Touch". Siobhan split
from the band in August 2001 due to artistic differences, personality diff-
erences and alienation in the group. Siobhan suffered from depression not
long after that and then decided that she would have to start her own
career away from the Sugababes. She started writing music along with the
help of former producer Cameron McVey to help overcome her depression,
and began performing under the alias of "Shanghi Nobody". She released her
first single, "Overrated", in June 2003 and then "Twist Of Fate" in September
2003, both taken from album, "Revolution In Me".
